Joanna Wietrzycka

I am graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology and Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design.
I worked as a fashion designer and an interior architect. Research in art led me to express myself in painting. I often use my professional experience and view of the world in my artworks.
Painting is a form of self-expression, my passion, a form of meditation and an energy transfer. I am looking for new solutions, often reaching for collage or assemblage and using upcycling.
In my works I use alcohol inks, acrylics, pencils and crayons.

I really like experimenting and combining different techniques. My favorite form of expression is abstraction.
I am mainly inspired by nature, thoughts, dreams, structures and architecture.
I reach into the recesses of the human subconscious.
Through my paintings I do not want to impose anything, but only suggest and give freedom of interpretation.
